Our Story
Many years ago, August 2002 to be exact, there was a game clan called the Phoenix Battle group, PHNX for short, and it was purely a Star trek clan. I was recruited by a guy called Tollister, who was a council member of the clan, I was given the rank of Commodore. The clan at that time wasn't very big but when I joined that was soon to change.
Because of our exceptional skill with a star ship many people joined us, including Kaos (who became one of the best Klingon pilots in the game). Not long after that, Kaos (who became my best friend) and I moved into the highest echelons of the clan, then consisting of over 150 members, we got a bit annoyed with the clan council sitting in there ivory towers not connecting with the members.
Kaos and I decided that we should leave and start our own clan, and so we did and ELITE was born. We took the name from the oldest and greatest space combat game as Kaos was one of the original play testers on that project. The break-up was too much for the Phoenix battle group and it died out because many members followed our lead and joined including the man who had recruited both of us.
We even had to put in a member stop because we wanted to uphold the highest gaming standards and stay exclusive. ELITE was one of the most respected clans in the game, but after 3 years new games came out and the whole star trek gaming genre slowly died out.
From there we played many games, Battlefield series, Dungeon Siege series, DTM series, Guild Wars, DDO online and many more... Members came and left as the years passed but the core of the clan only grows stronger as time marches on. Now we are very much looking forward to discovering the new lands of Hyboria allowing us to once again fill the ranks with eager recruits ready to uphold the values of honour and comradeship which will make ELITE a true power to be reckoned with in Age of Conan.
